Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to lead our Social Sector Leadership program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, community engagement, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement program strategies to achieve organizational goals
  • Manage program logistics, including budgeting, record keeping, and assessment
  • Recruit, hire, and advise student leaders and program participants
  • Design and teach workshops and co-curricular seminars in applied content related to programming
  • Build and cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, including students, alumni, community partners, staff, and faculty
  • Train, monitor, and assess for risk management concerns related to travel, programming, and other community engagement activities
  • Create program materials to recruit and contribute to the organization's communications and stewardship
  • Implement assessment plans and report on program outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of work experience in program management, community engagement, or leadership development
  • Celebration of and commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social impact work, the social sector, or nonprofits
  • Exceptional teaching and facilitation skills and the ability to excite, inspire, engage, and manage undergraduate students and student groups
  • Demonstrated ability to build and cultivate relationships with different stakeholders
  • Experience with event or trip coordination and project management
  • Proficient with computer applications, including Word, Excel, and database management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Knowledge of community-driven experiential learning and best practices
  • Strong self-awareness, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with experience communicating across multiple stakeholder groups
