Job Title: Research Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Program Director to join our team at Dartmouth College. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the administrative and operational aspects of our research center, including grant management, project coordination, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire life cycle of research grants, including grant writing, submission, and reporting.
  • Coordinate complex grant applications, renewals, and progress reports to ensure timely completion and continued funding.
  • Develop and implement project plans, protocols, and timelines to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead and manage a team of researchers and staff to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement research initiatives and projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies, research institutions, and other stakeholders to secure funding and resources for research projects.
  • Manage budgets, financial reports, and other administrative tasks related to research projects.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a medical or research environment.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale grants and/or contracts.
  • Administrative management experience and demonstrated ability to coordinate a complex research group.
  • Knowledge of grant submission, approval, and funding process.
  • Proficiency with computer software such as Adobe and Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent prioritization, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and a proven work ethic.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
