Vice President of Administrative and Business Services

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to serve as the Vice President of Administrative and Business Services at Long Beach City College. This is a senior management position that requires a strong background in business and finance, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive fiscal and facilities services for the college
- Oversee the budget preparation and administration, financial management, accounting, payroll, benefits, auditing, risk services, facilities planning, construction, investments, capital financing, health and safety programs, parking services, security, purchasing and warehouse, contracting, auxiliary services, mail and reprographics, maintenance and operations, grounds, transportation, facilities rentals, information technology systems, networking, hardware, software, media services, and economic development programs
- Provide leadership and direction to the college's business and administrative services departments
- Collaborate with other college administrators and departments to achieve college goals and objectives
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, or a related field
- Seven (7) years of relevant and increasingly responsible experience enabling highly successful performance at the executive management level managing multiple large departments and a large College-wide budget
- Experience in a community college district and/or public sector finance
- Experience in managing a budget of $100 million or more
- Knowledge of integrated business systems
- Experience in managing capital construction budgets
- Experience in issuing general obligation bonds
- Legal acumen
