Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Intake Coordinator to join our team at Singh Development Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the patient intake process, ensuring seamless transitions of patients to home care, and maximizing third-party reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily patient referral and intake operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the implementation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure patients are admitted in accordance with policy.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.
  • Ensure maximum third-party reimbursement through participation in insurance verification and authorization processes.
  • Negotiate service pricing with insurance Case Managers and other payers within established financial and credit parameters.
  • Provide feedback during strategic planning, identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of Agency contractual relationships and ensure patients are admitted according to contract provisions.
  • Assist with weekly posting and maintenance of patient visit schedule under direction of CS.
  • Perform liaison services as required assigned by the executive director.
Requirements
  • At least three to five years' experience in healthcare, preferably in home care.
  • Knowledge of home health and hospice regulations, eligibility, and private payer practices.
  • Demonstrates good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
