Position: Retail Sales Consultant

Role Overview:

The Retail Sales Consultant plays a vital role in a skilled team that delivers service tailored to our customers' unique preferences. Our consultants foster authentic connections and loyalty with clients, assisting them in curating a complete wardrobe. This position requires a high level of customer service expertise, product knowledge, and advanced sales techniques. Additionally, consultants are responsible for maintaining store standards and visual merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance:
    • Achieve individual and team sales targets and productivity goals.
    • Welcome customers warmly and engage them effectively.
    • Build customer loyalty through genuine interactions.
    • Participate in company-led initiatives to attract new customers and enhance shopping frequency.
    • Provide personalized service that addresses customer needs.
  • Customer Support:
    • Guide customers in selecting flattering outfits.
    • Assist clients in creating versatile wardrobes by offering insightful service and recommendations.
    • Stay informed about J.Jill products, including features such as colors, fabrics, fits, and styles.
    • Keep abreast of current fashion trends and how they relate to our offerings.
  • Visual Presentation:
    • Support the execution of visual merchandising and store layout.
    • Maintain high visual standards throughout the store.
    • Replenish stock according to established product level guidelines.
  • Operational Responsibilities:
    • Contribute to operational excellence by engaging in various functions, including marketing, product processing, and store organization.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment and protect company assets.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a retail setting, preferably in women's specialty retail.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and technical operations.
  • Community connections are a plus.
  • A passion for fashion and a strong affinity for the J.Jill brand.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service proficiency.
  • Strong skills in style, merchandising, and wardrobe consulting.

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated pay range for this position is $14.30 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Part-time associates are eligible for benefits, including paid time off, generous employee discounts, and access to employee assistance programs.
