Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Job Summary:

The Kelberman Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality behavioral services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavioral treatment plans and use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Provide direct care in one-on-one and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Collect and maintain data on academic, social, and behavioral goals.
  • Assist with educational, social, and behavioral assessments of individuals.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst to effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding individual progress.
  • Complete all required documentation according to the Center's program regulations.
  • Participate in activities as part of the treatment team, including meetings, trainings, and committees.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply relevant laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • AAS Degree in Human Services or related field; Bachelors preferred.
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a program or setting supporting persons with developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional coursework or training in developmental disabilities, cognitive behavioral therapy, and/or child therapy.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel).

Compensation:

$20.50-$22.50/hour.
