The Behavioral Specialist II is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing consultation to treatment teams on instructional strategies, evaluating individual behavior issues and skills that impact learning, and developing and implementing effective behavior plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation to treatment teams on instructional strategies to support individualized learning plans.
- Evaluate individual behavior issues and skills that impact learning, and develop targeted interventions to address these challenges.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of behavior plans, ensuring that they are aligned with individualized learning plans and meet the needs of our clients.
- Provide support to acute behavior issues, working closely with treatment teams to develop and implement crisis intervention plans.
- Complete all required documentation, including progress notes and behavior plan updates, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Furnish data for psychiatric consults, providing valuable insights to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement in-service training on behavior management to staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to support our clients.
- Master's degree in a field such as behavior analysis, clinical psychology, or a related field.
- BCBA certification or equivalent experience.
- Valid NYS Driver's License.
