Job Summary

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Floyd, VA. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Collaborate: Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel per state licensure and professional standards.
  • Adhere to Schedules and Documentation: Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules, timely clinical and billing documentation, and attend work-related meetings.
  • Patient Care and Staffing: Participate in patient care and staffing conferences, refer patients to other disciplines and agencies as needed, and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
  • Program Development and Safety: Adapt programs and care plans to meet individual patient needs, promote a safe environment, and eliminate fire and safety hazards.
  • Equipment Management and Patient Education: Order necessary supplies and equipment, maintain, clean, and report the need for equipment repairs, and ensure patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate service.
  • Screening, Examination, and Evaluation: Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, set treatment goals, and plan care, while documenting all services and treatment plans.
  • Progress Monitoring and Case Management: Select activities suited to patients' physical and mental capacities, instruct patients in mobility skills, evaluate their progress and behavior, and perform routine reexaminations to modify or progress treatment plans.
  • Health and Wellness Programming: Incorporate health and wellness programming into treatment plans, conduct home and community mobility assessments, and provide safety recommendations.
Requirements
  • Valid Physical Therapy License: Valid Physical Therapy license in the practicing state(s) or proof of eligibility.
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in Physical Therapy, or Master's degree in a related field plus a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of PT experience.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
