Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for tax-related inquiries, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service tailored to their tax needs.

Take initiative in resolving client inquiries promptly and within established service standards.

Proactively manage and nurture client relationships to foster trust and satisfaction.

Implement strategic thinking to enhance response quality and completeness, thereby minimizing the likelihood of case re-openings.

Contribute to discussions regarding tax matters during service reviews and other client meetings.

Conduct thorough analyses of recurring issues by reviewing metrics regularly, and assist in the development of programs aimed at service improvements based on these insights.

Provide support and guidance on:

  • Outstanding or expiring tax documentation
  • Relief at Source
  • Tax Refunds
  • Tax Regulatory Reporting

Continuously assess operational tax processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.

Recognize and escalate tax-related risks, actively participating in their resolution.

Assist in conducting client tax account reviews and engage in ad-hoc projects across the broader Tax Operations team.

Coordinate and process received information, aiding in the preparation of documentation for filing. Support the maintenance of data regarding earnings, foreign taxes, parent company stock basis, and audit proceedings. Assist in the calculation of income tax provisions and review tax provision calculations. Stay informed about current technical and business developments. Research and analyze tax issues as they arise, including those related to foreign jurisdictions.

Qualifications:

· 3-6 years of experience in US Tax (FATCA, 871M, withholding)

· Experience in Financial Services/Banking (knowledge of Custody products is a plus)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP) for data reconciliation

· A college degree or relevant professional experience

· Experience in client service

· Technical skills such as Alteryx or Visual Basic are advantageous

· Familiarity with internal custody systems is a plus

Capacity to devise innovative and creative solutions to complex challenges
