Job Title: Lead Forensic Accounting Specialist

Location: Remote

Opportunity:

Emerald Resource Group is in search of a dedicated Lead Forensic Accounting Specialist with 2-5 years of experience in public accounting to join our Investigative Accounting Team. This position offers a flexible, hybrid work setting and the opportunity to engage in a variety of stimulating projects. You will primarily collaborate with commercial property insurers to assess physical damage and business income losses resulting from various incidents. Your projects will involve examining historical financial records, industry data, revenue and expense forecasts, and evaluations of economic damages. You will gain insights across a broad spectrum of industries, from small local businesses to large multinational firms.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with commercial property insurers to evaluate business income losses and physical damages.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of historical financial and industry data.
  • Assess insurance claims and economic damages.
  • Prepare and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Engage in various forensic accounting and litigation support initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as necessary (approximately 15%).
