Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is on the lookout for a proficient and seasoned Lead Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our innovative team. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting, particularly within the real estate sector, and will take charge of financial operations, ensuring adherence to accounting principles while delivering strategic financial analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and tax obligations.
  • Prepare and assess financial statements, guaranteeing precision and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Evaluate financial data and offer insights to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Coordinate audits and tax preparation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Formulate and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve overall organizational objectives.
  • Guide and mentor junior accounting personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the real estate industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
