About the Role:
We are in search of a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to play a crucial role in our operations within the construction sector. This position is essential for supporting our project management and estimating teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project management team to collect all necessary information for estimates.
  • Evaluate blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to create time, cost, and labor estimates for various projects or services.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with subcontractors and suppliers to secure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Maintain a comprehensive directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Work alongside the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
  • Assist in preparing bid packages, conceptual estimates, and budgetary estimates.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, and organizing project files.
  • Conduct specialized studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or implement cost-saving measures.
  • Review material and labor requirements to determine the most cost-effective approach for producing or purchasing components.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to update stakeholders on project progress and estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a similar field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and estimating software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret and understand construction blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in supplier and subcontractor interactions.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, including materials, labor, equipment, and current market trends.
  • Demonstrated administrative skills, including data entry, record keeping, and scheduling.
