Overview:

The Head of Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing BWT's Quality Management System (QMS) and will strategize, lead, and implement the organization's Quality Strategic Plan.

Quality Managers across BWT facilities will report indirectly to the Head of Quality Assurance.

Core Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Continuously enhancing the Quality Management System to meet the requirements of relevant standards (ISO 9001, CQI-9, IATF 16949, and Nadcap).

Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive procedures, work instructions, and documentation across the organization.
Conducts high-level internal audits of facilities.
Collaborates with facility Quality Managers to investigate root causes of corrective actions and customer feedback.
Facilitates continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Works with facility Quality Managers to conduct metallurgical assessments of samples and/or heat treatment processes, as necessary.
Evaluates customer specifications and drawings for compliance.
Performs detailed statistical analyses for both external and internal stakeholders.
Acts as a Corporate Quality Representative in high-level client meetings, as required.
Participates in External Quality Audits, as necessary.
Temporarily assumes the role of facility Quality Manager, as needed.
Reviews and manages all customer confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
Develops strategies to advance BWT initiatives and assists in defining and recommending priorities to leadership. Provides long-term planning recommendations.
Supports the training and development of facility Quality Staff.
Ensures effective communication across plants.
Must operate in alignment with BWT's quality and production objectives.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the COO.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, an individual must exhibit strong leadership skills and be able to effectively perform each essential duty.

Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Metallurgy. Extensive experience and a proven track record may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:
At least ten years of experience in a management role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector.

Language Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all organizational levels.

Mathematical Skills:
Strong understanding of statistical methods and techniques.

Reasoning Ability:

Must possess the ability to work collaboratively as part of the Senior Management Team and make informed, sometimes challenging decisions.



Physical Demands:

Organizational Relationships:
Reports to the COO or designated representative.

The Head of Quality Assurance maintains regular communication with the COO, site General Managers, their respective management teams, corporate personnel, and clients.
