As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality within our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and enforce all safety and food safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP plans, monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs) and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Verify that production monitoring processes are executed correctly, ensuring that lot codes, weights, visual appearance, labeling, and packaging meet established standards.
- Document inspection findings in Quality Control software.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports for submission to the QA Supervisor or designated personnel.
- Collaborate with the warehousing team to conduct inspections on incoming materials.
- Monitor temperature conditions in storage areas.
- Assist the QA Coordinator and QA Manager with compliance, procedural development, labeling, and nutritional information.
- Work across departments to enhance Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance.
- Complete additional assignments from the QA Coordinator or QA Manager promptly.
- Promote a respectful team atmosphere that values professional communication, motivation, and effective problem-solving.
- Oversee the condition of frozen items when necessary.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and report any concerns to management.
- Communicate quality-related issues to the QA Coordinator or QA Manager for immediate resolution.
- Support safety initiatives by addressing safety concerns as they arise.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in food manufacturing, with a preference for at least 6 months in quality control.
- Basic math skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in challenging environments, including cold storage conditions for extended periods.
- Capability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8 to 10-hour shift.
- Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with potential additional hours during peak periods.

Compensation: $20.00/hr
