Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team at Cisco Systems. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design team, you will be responsible for designing high-speed analog circuits and leading the implementation of large-scale blocks on complex chips.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership in the definition and implementation of large-scale blocks on complex chips.
- Mentor team members and track deliverables, participate in peer review of complex IC designs.
- Provide expert advice on design methodology from conception to production.
- Actively contribute to Cisco research initiatives and work with cross-functional groups to define future strategies.
- BSEE degree with 15+ years of experience or equivalent.
- Prior knowledge in top-down design approach.
- Extensive experience in design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in areas such as high-speed serial links, voltage regulators, high-performance output drivers, and high-performance phase-locked loops.
- Experience with software tools such as Cadence (Virtuoso), Spectre/APS/SpectreX, and layout validation and post-layout extraction tools.
- Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications.
- Experience with FinFET technology.
- High-frequency layout experience, including passive component design.
- Floorplanning, custom transistor layout, and design for manufacturability.
