About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team at Cisco. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design team, you will be responsible for developing high-speed analog designs for optical communications products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in the definition and implementation of large-scale blocks on complex chips.
  • Mentor team members and track deliverables, participate in peer review of complex IC designs.
  • Provide expert advice on design methodology from conception to production.
  • Actively contribute to Cisco research initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional groups across Cisco to define future strategies and ensure alignment.
Requirements
  • BSEE degree with 15+ years of experience or equivalent.
  • Prior knowledge in top-down design approach.
  • Extensive experience in design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in areas such as high-speed serial links, voltage regulators, high-performance output drivers, and phase-locked loops.
  • Prior experience with software tools such as Cadence (Virtuoso), Spectre/APS/SpectreX, and layout validation and post-layout extraction tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications.
  • Experience with FinFET technology.
  • High-frequency layout experience.
  • Floorplanning and design for manufacturability.
