Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and caring Community Support Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- To assist in the efficient running of the facility and its therapeutic programming, as well as general duties associated with this role.
- Answering phones, directing inbound phone calls, and taking messages in a professional and courteous manner.
- To maintain a well-organized front office environment, ensuring all necessary materials and supplies are readily available.
- Making and tracking lists of office and facility supplies, as needed.
- Conducting regular checks on fire extinguishers and maintaining accurate records.
- Participating in monthly fire drills and logging all findings.
- Monitoring refrigeration temperatures and documenting any issues.
- Providing administrative support, including writing thank you letters and updating client files.
- Preparing rooms for incoming residents and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Communicating with vendors regarding facility needs, such as HVAC and pest control.
- Maintaining medication logs and updating them as necessary.
- Processing donations and ensuring they are logged accurately.
- Ensuring timely adherence to designated shifts and making arrangements for coverage when unavailable.
- Completing documentation and reporting procedures to compile statistics, resident information, and special projects.
- Preparing meals for residents on occasion.
- Tracking attendance at therapeutic sessions.
- Responding to potential client inquiries, making referrals, and summarizing contacts.
- Completing intake paperwork, gathering identification, and filing resident documentation as assigned.
- Assisting residents in communicating with external agencies to secure appointments.
- Accompanying residents to appointments with various agencies, as needed.
- Fostering an inclusive environment by promoting anti-discriminatory practice.
- Adapting to changing environments and taking initiative in diverse settings.
- Supporting residents in improving their quality of life through leisure activities, social skills, informed choices, and therapeutic interventions.
- Attending staff meetings and trainings as required by management.
- Maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Staying up-to-date with internal fire regulations, emergency procedures, and health and safety standards.
We are looking for an individual who can:
- Model open communication, fairness, and compassion.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both in-person and in writing, for effective teamwork and client interaction.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn client-centered models and conflict resolution techniques, with the ability to manage crisis situations.
- Show knowledge of community services and resources.
- Possess Microsoft Word skills and be proficient in using technology for administrative tasks.
- Obtain CPR/First Aid certification within a specified timeframe.
- Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License and meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
- Meet agency requirements for criminal background checks.
- Have reliable transportation and a phone for business use.
CPR/First Aid Certification and experience in crisis intervention are preferred qualifications for this role.
