Position Overview
As a Bakery Department Supervisor, you will enhance sales in your section and oversee your team of hourly staff to provide our members with their favorite products at competitive prices.

You will exemplify proficiency in Bakery operations and collaborate with other department leaders to ensure the entire club meets member expectations.


Key Responsibilities
Lead the Team:
Manage the Bakery department team to execute the business strategy and contribute to the club's overall success by communicating departmental goals; implementing company initiatives; adhering to policies; and advocating for members, associates, and the organization; working in tandem with other department leaders to ensure the club meets member satisfaction.
Demonstrate Expertise:
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of in-store operations, backroom processes, product details, and seasonal offerings by ensuring the Bakery department complies with company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory management, equipment usage, production, safety, sanitation, and compliance; sharing knowledge and training the team; ensuring team members are informed about new products, recipes, and production standards and equipping them with the necessary tools to perform their roles effectively.
Utilize Technology:
Employ digital tools to strategize and boost sales, enhance the shopping experience, and increase associate engagement.

Utilize handheld technology to make real-time business decisions regarding production, training, and product quality; and embrace new tools while encouraging others to adopt them.


Own the Business:
Drive business outcomes, ensuring a commitment to operational excellence; maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work environment in the Bakery department; ensure proper planning and staffing for weekly bakery demands; uphold consistency in quality, food safety, and company policies to support both production and member service; maintain accurate inventory, audit, and compliance standards; produce and display merchandise according to the merchandising layout plan.
Be a Talent Advocate:

Train and develop the team by identifying training needs; providing and enhancing necessary skills to deliver high-quality products to members; fostering career advancement for team members; and sourcing new talent internally and externally to join the team.

Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, colleagues, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from various sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing areas for improvement.

Promote and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes; implementing related action plans; utilizing the Open Door Policy; and assisting management in resolving ethical and compliance issues.

Lead and participate in teams by utilizing and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are met; and modeling and assisting others in adapting to change or new challenges.

Live Better U is a company-sponsored education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of service. Benefits are subject to change and may be governed by specific plan or program terms.

The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be awarded in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Premiums may be influenced by schedule, facility, season, or specific tasks performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications
