Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Briggs Automotive Group in Topeka, KS. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including diagnosing and repairing vehicle automotive systems, communicating with customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Vehicle Systems: Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Communicate with Customers: Communicate directly with customers to inform them of any additional services needed and provide estimates of time required for repairs.
  • Perform Repairs under Warranty: Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to dealership policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • ASE Certification and Factory Training: Possess ASE certification and factory training, or be willing to obtain.
  • Technical Skills: Possess broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies and be able to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Education and Experience: Possess a minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
