- Execute repairs as outlined in the service order efficiently and in line with dealership protocols.
- Conduct test drives and assess vehicle components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Engage directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional services required.
- Provide time estimates for necessary repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Experience ranging from technical school training to Master certification.
- ASE Certification and factory training are advantageous.
- Qualifications from Lube Technician to A-level, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
- Comprehensive understanding of new vehicle technologies.
- A proactive and diligent team player.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- A positive and friendly demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
- Enjoyment of a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, repair techniques, and service specifications.
- Capability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
