Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with sourcing electric and pneumatic actuation components, as well as managing service-related projects for FloWorks USA LP.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with essential internal field service stakeholders to formulate and execute sourcing and cost management strategies that align with valve automation and severe service product requirements.
  • Develop strategic sourcing frameworks that meet the business unit's needs for long lead-time materials while maintaining demand forecasts to enhance inventory management over multiple years.
  • Establish replenishment strategies aimed at minimizing risks and achieving targets for the purchasing department, focusing on payment terms, cash flow objectives, timely delivery, and cost savings.
  • Conduct advanced analyses to assess the financial implications of decisions and performance metrics for managed categories.
  • Perform business process evaluations and create models to drive cost improvements.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage all documentation necessary for material procurement.
  • Address invoice discrepancies and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Monitor vendor performance and capabilities to uphold delivery, quality, and pricing commitments.
  • Engage with other departmental and company leaders professionally to gather input and insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A robust background in valves and valve actuation is essential.
  • Experience in field service and repair is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, with a proactive approach to interacting with relevant departments.
  • Ability to analyze substantial data sets critical to job functions. Proficiency in software applications, particularly Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel, is necessary.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is a plus.

Training and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4-5 years of equivalent professional experience is typically required. Certification may be necessary in specific areas.

Problem Complexity

  • Work is conducted in accordance with established procedures and protocols. The individual will identify and resolve clearly defined problems, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis techniques by addressing missing or inconsistent information in routine research and data.

Autonomy

  • The nature of the work necessitates general supervision, allowing for the exercise of judgment. The individual may be paired with a mentor and will typically undergo regular process checks or output reviews by a colleague or supervisor.
