About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Duke University. As an integral part of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our professionals, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide education to designated staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Serve as the principal source of information for direct staff, providing training and onboarding support.
  • Manage schedule change requests (SCRs), collaborating with the Duke Health Access Service Team (DHAS) when necessary.
  • Monitor MaestroCare pools, including P GI ACCESS COORDINATOR.
  • Advise supervisors on current activities and problems, recommending solutions and executing them autonomously.
  • Provide input to performance appraisal processes and participate in hiring and firing decisions.
  • Offer backup Staff Assistant support when needed.

Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Two years of increasing complex administrative experience.

Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
