Electronics Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at K2 Space. As a key member of our spacecraft development team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and qualifying critical electronics for our satellites.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop electronics PCBAs for spacecraft, including architecture, component selection, circuit board design, and board bring-up and debugging.
- Qualification and Testing: Qualify your designs through environmental testing, including vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing.
- Integration and Operations: Work with internal and external stakeholders to integrate your designs into the spacecraft systems and operate your hardware in flight.
- Test Equipment and Scripts: Develop test equipment, development PCBAs, and test scripts to assist with the above tasks.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or 3+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Design and Testing Experience: Experience designing and testing electronics PCBAs in a fast-paced environment.
- High-Speed Digital Design: Experience designing multi-layer PCBAs for high-speed digital applications.
- Power Converter Design: Experience with high-performance kW scale isolated power converter design.
- Analog Control Loops: Experience designing analog control loops, solid state load switches, motor inverters, EMI/EMC compliance, or sensor signal conditioning circuits.
- Digital Processing: Experience with digital processors, FPGAs, memory chips, or network switches.
- Circuit Simulation: Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice.
- Component Selection: Experience with component selection for use in radiation environments.
- Filter Design: Knowledge of filter design for stability, noise rejection, and surviving threat signals.
- Load Switch Design: Experience with load switch design and power path protection schemes.
- Programming Skills: Experience programming in C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
- Salary Range: Base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $200,000 + equity in the company.
