Job Summary:

As an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist at MPOWERHealth, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care during surgical procedures. This position requires a deep understanding of neurophysiology and the ability to interpret data in real-time. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review and explanation of the neuromonitoring process.
• Accurately apply recording electrodes according to standardized protocols.
• Prepare and configure neuromonitoring equipment for optimal performance.
• Continuously monitor patient's neurological status during surgical procedures and analyze electrophysiological data to identify potential neurological changes.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient care.
• Interpret complex waveforms and patterns to detect abnormalities and correlate findings with surgical events and patient conditions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all monitoring activities, including patient information, equipment settings, waveforms, and clinical observations.

Requirements:

• CNIM or CNIM-eligible certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree or higher (i.e., Master's, Ph.D., MD).
• Current AHA CPR certification required.

Working Conditions:

• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed.
• Work requires lifting supplies, pushing, or carrying bulky pieces of equipment.
• Occasional/frequent travel by motor vehicle and/or air transportation to healthcare facilities located in both urban and rural areas.
• Variable work schedules that may change from week to week, depending on caseload, surgeons' availability, creating situations that may require minimal notice to be available for a case.
