Overview

As a Clinical Resource Specialist in our Cardiac/Structural department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of our surgical services. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a resource and leader in the continuum of care for our Structural Heart patients, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the clinical workup of new patients, including medication management and ancillary testing
  • Collaborate with surgeons, clinic co-workers, and perioperative staff to identify opportunities for improvement in the continuum of care
  • Develop and implement processes to meet Mercy's dimensions of excellence and ensure high-quality care
  • Provide patient education, scheduling, and coordination of clinical support on procedure day
Requirements
  • 2 years of intraoperative experience
  • Preferred: 5 years of Cardiac experience
  • Nursing degree from an accredited school
  • Current RN license in our state
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: CNOR certification
