Clinical Resource Specialist

The primary role is to act as a pivotal resource and leader in the continuum of care for patients with Structural Heart conditions. Responsibilities encompass the clinical assessment of new patients, medication management, ordering ancillary tests and procedures, handling in-basket communications, providing patient education, scheduling procedures and clinic appointments, and coordinating clinical support on the day of procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations for new patients.
- Manage and optimize medication regimens.
- Facilitate the ordering of necessary tests and procedures.
- Engage in effective communication through in-basket messages.
- Deliver patient education to enhance understanding and compliance.
- Coordinate scheduling for procedures and clinic visits.
- Ensure seamless clinical support during procedure days.
Collaboration:
This role requires collaboration with surgeons, clinic staff, perioperative teams, and inpatient nursing personnel to identify and implement improvements in the continuum of perioperative care. The specialist will assist in developing standardized processes to ensure that patients receive high-quality care while experiencing compassionate and individualized service.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an intraoperative setting.
- Preferred Experience: 5 years in Cardiac care.
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
- Licensure: Active RN license in the respective state.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred Certification: CNOR certification is preferred.
