With a rich history spanning over a century, the organization has merged with South Bay Family Health Care, uniting their expertise to serve 45,000 people across the Santa Monica Mountains and the South Bay.
We have 17 locations, two mobile clinics, and a street medicine program, serving individuals in need, regardless of income, insurance, or immigration status.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Development Associate to join our team, supporting fundraising efforts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
As a key member of our Development team, you will work closely with the Director of Individual and Corporate Development, providing administrative and operational support, including proposal and report coordination, grant and sponsorship deliverables execution, and fundraising support for cash and in-kind gifts.
You will partner with colleagues to develop coordinated strategies for approaching donors, managing and stewarding your own portfolio of donors to retain and increase giving to the Clinic.
Responsibilities- Support the individual and corporate development team's administrative and operational needs.
- Coordinate proposal and report preparation, ensuring timely submission and high-quality deliverables.
- Execute grant and sponsorship deliverables, fostering strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Provide fundraising support for cash and in-kind gifts, identifying opportunities to increase giving.
- Manage and steward your own portfolio of donors, retaining and increasing giving to the Clinic.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop coordinated strategies for approaching donors, ensuring a comprehensive and effective fundraising approach.
- Bachelor's degree and 1-5 years of relevant experience in a nonprofit fundraising setting.
- Proficiency with Salesforce database or similar relationship management system, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to present data in accessible formats.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into persuasive proposals.
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and using initiative to anticipate needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with an interest in engaging donors and strengthening donor relationships.
