Position Overview:


Cleo Parker Robinson Dance (CPRD) is on the lookout for an Arts Education Coordinator to enhance the operational framework of our Arts-in-Education initiatives.

As a prominent cultural arts organization and a leading provider of arts education in the Rocky Mountain Region, CPRD is dedicated to enriching the lives of students through artistic engagement.

The CPRD Education Team thrives in a dynamic environment, reaching approximately 20,000 students annually through collaborations with around 80 educational institutions across the Denver metropolitan area and beyond.

The Arts Education Coordinator will play a pivotal role, engaging with community members, partners, and an expanding education team.


This position is primarily outward-facing, providing essential support to the Vice President of Educational Programs in managing school and community collaborations, while also focusing on the growth and sustainability of our programs to significantly boost revenue.


CPRD's Arts-in-Education programs draw inspiration from the African American experience, grounded in the traditions of the African diaspora, and are committed to fostering cross-cultural education and connectivity, with a strong emphasis on the social-emotional learning that the Arts facilitate.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate communication with school partners (Service Requests, Service Confirmations, Invoicing), scheduling, and coordination.

2. Research and pursue new opportunities and partnerships.

3. Serve as the representative for CPRD Education, Outreach, and Community Programs to advocate for the institution.

4. Clearly communicate all program services, metrics, curricula, and lesson plans to stakeholders and partners.

5. Conduct visits to schools to observe program activities and the education team in action.

6. May involve direct services (i.e., teaching and/or performing) as part of the Education Team.

7. Organize school partner field trips for matinees and other educational activities on and off campus.

8. Utilize our database software to manage and update contacts.

9. Develop and coordinate professional development, mentoring tracks, and curriculum support workshops for teaching artists and staff, focusing on best practices in arts education and out-of-school programming.

10. Undertake special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Strong alignment with the vision and mission of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for regular interaction with the public and students, along with the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment.

- Outstanding organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and events with meticulous attention to detail.

- Proficient in computer applications.

- Ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

- Capacity to work independently, prioritizing effectively to meet competing deadlines.

- Interest and cultural competence in engaging with diverse communities.

- A strong work ethic and high standards of personal and professional integrity.

- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

- Background in dance and teaching experience is essential.

- Familiarity with storytelling through social media platforms is advantageous.

Employment Type:
Full-time, salaried

Compensation:
Salary range: $30,000 - $34,000

Benefits:
- Comprehensive employee benefits program including:
- Twelve (12) days of paid time off, accrued monthly from the start date.
- Ten (10) paid holidays.
- Two (2) personal days.
- Participation in CPRD's health insurance plan with an 80% contribution from CPRD.
- Full-year access to Academy movement classes.

Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
