About Rocky Mountain Prep

Rocky Mountain Prep is an expanding network of forward-thinking public charter schools, dedicated to educating students from pre-kindergarten through 12th Grade in the Greater Denver Area. Since its inception in 2012 with 130 students, Rocky Mountain Prep has grown to encompass four schools, serving over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Our commitment to a culture of rigor and compassion enables our schools to consistently exceed local district academic performance, while also nurturing our scholars in our PEAK values: perseverance, excellence, adventure, and kindness. As we continue to grow, we aim to serve over 5,000 students across 12 schools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who are driven by our mission, reflect thoughtfully on their teaching practices, utilize data intelligently, and are focused on achieving results.

Throughout the academic year, RMP is pursuing five key objectives:

  • Achieving a Green rating on the Colorado School Performance Framework
  • Ensuring 90% Student Persistence
  • Maintaining 95% Daily Attendance
  • Achieving Full Enrollment by October Count
  • Meeting Academic Goals:
    • Elementary: Pre-K Students demonstrate 1 year of growth
    • Elementary: Kinder through 2nd Grade Students achieve 1.25 years of growth in ELA and Math
    • Elementary: 40% of 3rd through 5th Grade students reach their Millionaire Goal (1 million words read)
    • Middle School: 40% of 6th through 8th Grade Students reach their Millionaire Goal (2 million words read)
    • High School: 100% College Acceptance

Every member of our organization contributes to these objectives. School-based staff will focus on 2 or 3 metrics aligned with their roles and the Big 5 goals, which may vary by position and are subject to change.

  • Engage in regular communication and collaboration with teammates, parents, and administrators.
  • Participate in professional development sessions designed to provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance your instructional practice.
  • Thoroughly prepare and internalize lessons to optimize class time and student learning.
  • Exemplify our PEAK values of Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness.
  • Exhibit a driven, humble, intelligent, and results-oriented mindset, demonstrating a commitment to achieving our primary goals.
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal duties, along with other community responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Special Education teachers and support staff to ensure all students receive grade-level appropriate content and academic assistance.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in any subject area.
  • Completion of CDE READ Act training and/or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) 45 contact hours.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Current Colorado teaching license with relevant grade/content endorsement (K-12; 6-8).
  • OR
  • An official transcript demonstrating a degree (graduate or undergraduate) in secondary education and/or a relevant content area.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of lead teaching experience, defined as the primary teacher responsible for all academic content in the classroom.
  • Experience with progress monitoring, data collection, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive instruction and critical pedagogical frameworks.
  • Proven success in working with scholars from historically marginalized communities.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position eligible for benefits, with a salary range of $60,000 to $94,800, depending on experience and educational background.
