Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, and engagement of our talented team members. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping our company culture and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract top talent and meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business outcomes and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Manage the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to minimize turnover and maximize employee engagement.
  • Partner with department leaders to optimize flexible labor scheduling and drive business results.
  • Manage employee investigations and progressive discipline procedures.
  • Drive incremental improvements to performance using data analysis and benchmarking.
  • Develop and implement recruitment/staffing plans for the location in partnership with managers.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all team member timesheets in our HR system.
  • Ensure efficient and welcoming employee check-in experience.
  • Partner with the location leadership team to develop and deploy an employee engagement action plan.
  • Oversee employee investigation and progressive discipline procedures.
  • Move between strategic and operational thinking to execute strategy.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for union representatives (where applicable).
  • Educate and support managers in understanding and adhering to the location Collective Bargaining Agreement (where applicable).
  • Ensure all team member information is accurate and up-to-date within the location HRIS system.
  • Ensure the timely processing of all unemployment claims.
  • Plan the team's activity to deliver against medium-term objectives.
  • Manage team member 'Speak Up' and Grievance complaints.
  • Ensure timely completion of all mandatory/compliance-related training.
  • Work with location leadership to define management succession plan and development.
  • Partner with department leaders to optimize flexible labor scheduling.
  • Work in partnership with the Compass Strategic Alliance Group to manage the contract retention.
  • Contribute to sales activity for existing or new partners.
  • Support managers in completing employee investigations and corrective actions processes.
  • Analyze performance data across multiple units to look for operational efficiencies.
  • Evaluate/audit working practices to manage risks and drive compliance.
  • Shape and manage change and improvement programs.
  • Attend manager meetings to support the overall management and governance of the location.
  • Deliver ongoing training and development to the on-site management team.
  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources to develop joint strategies.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role is preferred.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects.
  • High level of computer literacy; MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish a plus.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
