Purpose of the HR Manager Role:

The HR Manager at R W Zant CO will lead the Human Resources department, partnering with functional leaders, front-line employees, and supervisors to ensure the company's culture and performance align with company objectives. This role is responsible for employee relations, talent and performance management, and HR administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle confidential matters and perform support functions that require a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Company policy and procedures.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human relations functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Manage the recruiting process, including advertisement placement, applicant prescreening, interview scheduling, background checks, and new hire orientation.
Work with supervisory and senior staff to create and maintain accurate job descriptions.
Conduct sexual/anti-harassment and discrimination training for new employees and staff per California and Federal law.
Conduct exit interviews with employees, document results, and share with leadership.
Maintain electronic personnel files and related documentation, respond to requests for employment verification, and administer the employee handbook.
Manage FMLA, ADA, personal leaves, and worker's compensation claims, and maintain timely communication with employees and manage documentation as required by applicable laws/regulations.
Responsible for internal communications on HR and other matters, and the preparation and processing of payroll, reviewing and ensuring accuracy of time records, tracking and deducting all wage orders, and other special payroll deductions.

Requirements:

BA degree required.
Minimum seven years Human Resources experience.
Bilingual English and Spanish, required.
Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate in written and oral English and Spanish correctly and effectively.
Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Google suite, and knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll computer software and applications.
Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer, including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to Travel (minimal, less than 10%).
