Position Summary:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in delivering prompt and courteous service by proactively engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate assistance. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized and inviting sales environment, ensuring the sales floor is clean and well-stocked. Additionally, the Sales Associate will be involved in the delivery and installation of automotive batteries.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional and friendly service to all customers.
  • Proactively engage with customers to assess their needs.
  • Greet customers warmly, maintaining eye contact and a positive demeanor.
  • Utilize open-ended questions to identify customer requirements.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of products to assist customers effectively.
  • Inform customers about membership benefits, promotions, and current sales.
  • Articulate the features and advantages of various products.
  • Drive sales by presenting options and suggesting complementary items.
  • Set and meet personal sales objectives.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.
  • Ensure the store is fully stocked, clean, and ready for customers.
  • Handle financial transactions accurately.
  • Test and install automotive batteries as needed.
  • Utilize a company vehicle for local deliveries when required.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience in retail is preferred.
  • Experience in delivery driving is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Regular attendance is essential.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays and certain holidays is required.

Work Environment:

This position involves various physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 80 pounds. The role may also involve exposure to typical warehouse conditions, including dust, fumes, temperature variations, and battery acid.
