Job Summary:
The Raw Receiving Supervisor is a key role within J.D. Irving, responsible for overseeing the potato receiving area and ensuring seamless coordination of potato deliveries. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to work closely with contract growers, prioritizing potato quality, quantity, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and Coordinate Deliveries: Plan and execute potato delivery schedules to meet business needs, ensuring timely and efficient receipt of raw materials.
- Supervise the Receiving Area: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to HACCP and GMP procedures, and supervise employees to ensure compliance.
- Contract Grower Relations: Develop and implement a comprehensive food integrity program for contract growers, incorporating record keeping and housekeeping practices.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide written reports to management on crop development and raw material disposition, tracking and monitoring raw product quantity and quality among contract growers.
- Special Projects: Assist the Field Manager in special projects as required, contributing to the overall success of the potato receiving area.
Requirements:
This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
