Production Manager

The Production Manager at Veolia WTS is a key role that requires a strong leader to oversee the regeneration of ion exchange resins and other water treatment media. This position involves optimizing processes and increasing productivity while ensuring the site maintains a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the logistics of preparing mobile water treatment equipment for dispatch to customer sites, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize operations by creating, implementing, and managing continuous improvement projects in areas such as chemical and utility usage, wastewater treatment, regeneration efficiency, water treatment equipment turnover, procurement, maintenance, and inventory management.
- Ensure the site maintains a sufficient supply of critical chemicals and production parts.
- Deliver regular reporting of production activities, including standard SAP, Tableau, and locally generated reports.
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adjust production activities accordingly.
- Motivate employees through inclusiveness, tangible rewards, and recognition, as well as strategic developmental plans.
- Champion integrity and ethical work practices.
- Lead by example and develop close working relationships with plant staff, vendors, customers, and leaders.
- Participate in the selection, interviewing, and hiring of new regeneration, manufacturing, maintenance, and delivery specialist employees.
- Manage the orientation and training of new employees.
- Directly back up the Plant Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in an operations or management position).
- At least two additional years of operations or management experience.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret instruction and safety manuals.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Mathematical skills, including math operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio, and percentages.
- Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments, including industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
- BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment processes, including deionization, softening, reverse osmosis, and deoxygenation preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing process and/or Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety Regulations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
