About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Air Defense Ground Equipment Department at Raytheon Technologies as a Principal Engineer, Interconnects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements
- Mechanical design, development, and documentation of cables, harnesses, and connectors to meet defense system requirements
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop robust design solutions and resolve technical challenges
- Work with limited supervision and meet technical, schedule, and monetary commitments

Requirements

- Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
- Experience designing cables, harnesses, and connectors for defense or commercial systems
- Experience with MIL-Spec Fiber Optic and Radio Frequency cables, assemblies, and/or connectors
- Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools

More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
