We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to join our team at FurstStaffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of all benefit and compensation plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Human Resources Director in the day-to-day operations of the Department, providing administrative support and guidance as needed.
  • Review and understand multiple Union/Bargaining contracts, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Administer the Group Health Insurance Plan, acting as the department's first line of contact for all benefits-related questions and concerns from staff and retirees.
  • Conduct benefit orientation for staff, including training on the online enrollment process, and distribute all benefit enrollment materials.
  • Administer the open enrollment process, ensuring the accuracy of all benefit enrollment in MUNIS and the transition of data to vendors.
  • Coordinate all vendor services, effectively tracking utilization and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the Human Resources Director with annual plan design modifications, coordinate vendor RFP and bidding processes.
  • Audit and process payment of monthly invoices for all Group Health Insurance Plan vendors, maintaining statistical data relative to expenses, premiums, claims, and stop loss.
  • Create, maintain, and update job descriptions, ensuring consistency of positions.
  • Conduct all job audits and make recommendations to HR Director/Department Heads.
  • Maintain the EEOP, EEO4, and Affirmative Action plan.
  • Be cross-trained as backup for the workers' compensation program.
  • Maintain documents in personnel files and medical files.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field of study is preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) credential is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience working in Human Resources with a minimum of three years of benefit administration is required.
