Construction Project Coordinator

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in construction project oversight within a field environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction workflow, including project scheduling, contract management, resource allocation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with a diverse team, including tradespeople, inspectors, and clients.
  • Proficient in industry-specific software such as ProCore or BlueBeam, along with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus but not essential.
  • Availability to work weekends as required.
  • Willingness to travel to various project locations as necessary.

Physical Demands

  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to safely navigate construction sites, including traversing uneven terrain, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at elevated heights.
  • This role involves regular on-site presence at construction locations, where exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate to loud noise levels is common.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule that outlines critical milestones and ensures timely project completion.
  • Oversee the activities of multiple subcontractors, including organizing weekly meetings, supervising ongoing work, and managing punch list items.
  • Assist in formulating the job site utilization strategy for temporary facilities, material handling, equipment logistics, and site access.
  • Support preconstruction assessments by documenting existing site conditions prior to the commencement of work.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols at all times, including OSHA, HAZCOM, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
