Job Summary

The Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling production processes to ensure high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely. This is a full-time, hourly position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor production variables such as temperatures, pressures, flows, tank levels, densities, pH, and other process conditions to ensure they are within specified limits.
  • Process Control: Manipulate DCS control boards and screens to adjust set-points, outputs, valves, and other process parameters to maintain optimal production conditions.
  • Quality Control: Analyze sample results to verify product quality and adherence to specifications, and determine adjustments needed to correct deviations.
  • Alarm Response: Respond to alarm warnings on the DCS Alarm Screen and take corrective actions to remedy the situation.
  • Sampling and Testing: Obtain samples of product at various stages of production to test for quality parameters using pH meters, hydrometers, centrifuges, and other lab equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and inspect process and machine malfunctions to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other department operators and management to achieve efficient production processes.
  • Documentation: Record data and results on production parameters charts, rounds checklist, log sheets, and other related documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
