Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician is a critical role within the Campbell Soup Company, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our products. This position plays a vital part in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the production process and product quality through sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to maintain product consistency and compliance with established specifications.
  • Evaluate finished products for moisture, ingredient content, breakage, color, package fill, raw and finished weights, seal integrity, code date legibility, and overall product quality.
  • Accurately perform and document all testing, including inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and products produced by outside suppliers.
  • Communicate all out-of-compliance situations and product standards to production employees and Production/QA Supervisors.
  • Practice and adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
  • Execute the Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan included in the SQF Program at the front-line level.
  • Monitor the Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan effectiveness and conformance with SQF system requirements.
  • Identify, investigate, and/or determine whether out-of-compliance finished product should be placed on hold.
  • Coordinate disposition and/or rework with leadership approval.
  • Monitor raw materials storage area locations and complete shift tailings. Notify appropriate personnel with any abnormal findings.
  • Monitor metal detection validation & verification.
  • Audit allergen maintenance repair sheets and operator forms.
  • Conduct pre-op inspections of processing, packaging, and mixing equipment after product changeovers and/or prior to weekly production start-up as a cross-functional team.
  • Perform plant sanitation verifications to ensure allergen-free and equipment is clean. If applicable, may participate in Kleanz or respective program.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good solid computer skills.
  • Clearly express instructions and communications in talking and writing.
  • Demonstrate ownership accountabilities.
  • Demonstrate leadership.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment

Subject to indoor facility and outdoor weather conditions, dust, noise, heat/cold. Lighting: Good. Temperature: Good. Ventilation: Good. Vibration: Fair. Noise: Fair.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $21.00. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
