Position Overview:

As a full-time Patient Care Coordination Specialist, you will work Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Fridays from 9 AM to 5 PM. This role is eligible for benefits and pension plans, along with paid time off.

Role Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will:
1. Review patient referrals within our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
2. Contact patients to confirm insurance authorizations and schedule appointments.
3. Collaborate closely with ambulatory practices in a busy call center environment, maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:
- A GED, high school diploma, or completion of a relevant professional training program.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with payer portals and EMR scheduling is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interaction with payers, providers, and patients.
- Data entry experience is preferred, along with a professional appearance and attention to detail.
- The initiative to drive projects to successful completion.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.

Compensation:

The salary for this position is competitive, starting at USD $25.00 per hour. This figure is a good faith estimate and may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
