Job Summary

As an Assistant Chief CRNA at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a crucial role in supervising a team of certified registered nurse anesthetists and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. Your expertise in anesthesia administration, patient monitoring, and department leadership will be essential in maintaining our high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor CRNAs to ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care and anesthesia administration.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure seamless patient care and anesthesia administration.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and formulate anesthesia plans for proposed operations.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and take remedial action when warranted.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental performance.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited school of anesthesia.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) required at hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in teams and have proven effective communications and listening skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of all regulatory requirements and legal consequences of anesthesia care.
