Job Summary:

As an Assistant Chief CRNA at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a key role in supervising a team of certified registered nurse anesthetists and administering intravenous, spinal, and other anesthetics during surgical or medical procedures. You will monitor patient reactions and vital signs, take remedial action when necessary, and submit postoperative reports on patient condition. Your responsibilities will also include developing schedules, department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Augment department leadership with assistance in hiring, training, and supervision of certified registered nurse anesthetists.
  • Develop and implement quality of care and service standards.
  • Assume a proxy role for day-to-day clinical operations and administrative tasks to maintain department continuity in the absence of the Chief CRNA.
  • Assist in monitoring budgets, resource allocation, and department financial performance.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/service.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited school of anesthesia.
  • Registered Nurse License (California).
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) required at hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Masters degree preferred.
