Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of a designated commercial loan portfolio within the Business Credit Center. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of credit quality management, risk grading, compliance with covenants, monitoring loan maturities, managing loan documentation, tracking collateral, and providing exceptional customer service. The position necessitates substantial interaction with clients through various communication channels and collaboration with Relationship Managers to promote new products and services, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and sustain the quality of an assigned commercial loan portfolio, promptly notifying senior management of any issues.
  • Manage the renewal and modification processes for loans and lines of credit, ensuring timely execution of documentation.
  • Conduct thorough credit and financial assessments of relationships within the portfolio, maintaining accurate risk grades and data integrity.
  • Perform regular site visits to engage with company leadership, gather financial data, and explore new lending opportunities.
  • Deliver superior customer service to business relationships, ensuring consistent experiences across the Bank's operations.
  • Support the Bank's collection efforts to meet targets for overdue payments and assist in the transition of problematic loans to the Commercial Loan Workout Group.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives and provide training to junior staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • 5-7 years of relevant banking experience is essential, with a focus on commercial credit and completion of a formal credit training program preferred.
  • Strong credit assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate various credit facilities.
  • Service-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable in customer interaction scenarios, including potential loan restructuring situations.
  • Adept at multitasking, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, and working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Previous leadership experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
