We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Member Enrollment Specialist to join our team at Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas. As a key member of our membership growth team, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruiting strategies to increase new girl and adult membership in assigned geographic areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in achieving the council's corporate goals for girl and adult membership through implementing membership recruitment strategies in assigned areas.
- Design and implement a comprehensive plan for girl and adult membership growth in targeted areas by researching market data, membership trends, and other pertinent information relevant to designated geographic areas.
- Implement membership recruitment strategies outlined in the council's strategic plan, annual business plan, and/or other council goals, including cultivation and organization of communities to result in increased girl and volunteer leads.
- Execute action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made to meet membership goal. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Utilize customer relationship management system (Salesforce) to support pursuance of leads throughout the recruitment process through to completion to conversion status.
- Cultivate relationships with appropriate community leaders, organizations, educators, and businesses to support recruitment efforts within targeted areas to increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting and positively impact membership growth.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals in a timely fashion.
- Represent Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas at local events, fairs, and festivals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the council's mission and goals.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.
- Position will be out of the office at least 60% of the time working in the assigned geographic area; scheduled evening and weekend work, daily schedule has flexibility.
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient with computer and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word). Proficient in database management and reporting. Experience with Canva preferred.
- Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
- Oral and Written Communication (i.e., in person, verbal, written, and/or phone) - Expresses ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner appropriate for the individual or group; listens to and comprehends what others are saying; prepares organized and structured presentations; has demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues and communicate effectively with a diverse group of girls, volunteers, and staff.
