About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Finance and Accounting division in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the billing and collection of outstanding invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining effective relations with clients to facilitate prompt payment.
  • Implement strategies to minimize overdue accounts, supporting the organization's cash flow and financial stability.
  • Manage a team of professionals, providing coaching, recognition, and individual development planning to foster a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as projects, business operations, accounting, and IT, to ensure smooth and efficient billing processes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or an accounting emphasis or combination of education and experience equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years of AR experience with at least 3 years of manager level preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite - word, excel, outlook and Visio; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports required.
  • Knowledge of state mechanics lien law procedures and sales tax laws pertaining to construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of billing practices in construction preferred.
