Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Credit Analyst is a key role within the financial operations of Alaska Airlines, responsible for administering the commercial credit policy and ensuring the timely collection of receivables. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Credit Policy Administration: Develop and implement commercial credit policies to ensure the company's financial well-being and minimize bad debt write-offs.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and consumer customers to ensure timely payment and resolve any disputes that may arise.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to management on the company's financial performance.
  • Collection and Recovery: Develop and implement collection strategies to ensure timely payment of receivables, and work with customers to resolve any issues that may impact payment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with financial software and systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Financial Software: Experience with financial software and systems, including PeopleSoft and Blackline.
  • Airline Industry Experience: Experience working in the airline industry, preferably in a financial or accounting role.
