Job Summary

The Administrative Pool position is a part-time role that will report to various departments on campus. This is a pool position that is posted to maintain a steady flow of applicants for interviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal secretarial services, including office administrative duties from general to complex critical tasks.
  • May oversee, coordinate the flow, or check work of student workers.
  • Operate a word processor, computer terminal, microcomputer, facsimile machine, copy machine, or memory typewriter.
  • Screen calls, manage calendars, make travel arrangements, plan meetings and events, maintain files, prepare minutes of meetings, edit various documents, and communicate with internal management and staff, students, community representatives, and vendors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience as an Office Manager in an academic environment.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, word processing, and business English.
  • Ability to use business English effectively, calculate arithmetic accurately, establish and maintain effective working relationships, express ideas clearly and concisely, manage office effectively, and take and transcribe dictation at a working rate of speed.
