Job Description

Job Summary:

Blake Thermal Sales & Service Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our East Windsor, CT team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing solutions and services to customers in the industrial, institutional, and commercial marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers, influencers, manufacturers, and Blake Thermal team members.
  • Equipment Selection and Sizing: Assist customers with equipment selection, sizing, and estimating based on their needs, using a consultative approach to provide customers with the best solutions.
  • Quotation Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present quotations for customers with support from our inside team.
  • Drive Sales: Effectively drive sales, meeting or exceeding sales targets for assigned territory.
  • Customer Value Delivery: Ensure expert delivery of customer value for sustained growth.
  • CRM Tool Management: Manage CRM tool with contacts, pipeline, opportunities, and forecasts.
  • Trade Association Participation: Participate in local trade associations, trade shows, and technical seminars.
  • Field Events: Conduct field events to promote products and solutions.
  • Corporate Goals and Growth Initiatives: Support corporate goals and growth initiatives.
  • Market and Industry Trend Analysis: Collect and share information on competition, market, and industry trends with the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Customer Service and Sales Knowledge: Strong customer service and sales knowledge and experience.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication, follow-up, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to Teamwork: Commitment to be part of a winning team.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a proven safe driving record.
