Position Overview

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is looking for a dedicated Research Scientist to join our Invertebrate and Weed Sciences team. This role focuses on advancing research in integrated pest management, invertebrate diagnostics, and biological control strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in pest management and invertebrate diagnostics.
  • Utilize analytical chemistry skills to develop and assess innovative insect lures.
  • Collaborate with a team of scientists to enhance pest management techniques.
  • Engage in projects requiring high-level technical expertise in odour analysis.
  • Communicate methodologies and findings effectively to team members.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess a relevant PhD in Biological Science. A strong background in analytical chemistry and laboratory management is highly desirable.

Work Environment
