Location: New Hudson, MI

Employment Type: Contract

Role Summary:

The Service Writer will act as the main liaison between the customers and the service department, fostering strong relationships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, whether via phone or in-person, ensuring a positive interaction.
  • Assess customer requirements, collect relevant information, and initiate work orders.
  • Provide estimates, manage claims, create repair strategies, schedule tasks, and keep customers informed about the status of their repairs.
  • Generate detailed work orders that include diagnostic strategies, estimates, and repair plans, based on the availability of parts and labor.
  • Review repair plans with the Service Supervisor or Team Lead before engaging with customers.
  • Collaborate with the Service Supervisor and/or Team Lead to allocate job assignments effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key clients; address customer inquiries regarding warranties and clarify charges.
  • Track essential performance indicators for the workshop, focusing on labor efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer interaction skills.
  • Experience in a dealership or related field.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
